Twenty years in defence security. Now I check your defences.

Stephen Tetley, Founder of Hardrock Cyber

For twenty years I served in defence security, working in complex technology environments where security has to be understood, tested and backed by evidence.

Along the way, I talked with many local business owners: medical practices, law and accounting firms, engineering and professional consultancies. They had capable IT providers and were doing many of the right things. What they wanted was an independent answer to one question: “Are we safe enough?” With more data and more systems in the cloud, that question matters more than ever.

That’s why I started Hardrock Cyber: to give professional firms an independent, evidence-based view of their cyber resilience, and a practical path to strengthen it.

I don’t sell managed IT services, take commissions or compete with your IT provider. I assess what you have in place, what the evidence shows, where the gaps are and what matters most. I lead every engagement personally, from the first conversation to the final report.

I’m based in Queensland and work with businesses across Australia, especially established local and regional businesses.

I also make time for the community. Hardrock Cyber offers selected pro-bono cyber security reviews for local not-for-profits, charities and sporting organisations. Smaller community groups often hold valuable information and have fewer resources to protect it.

If you’d like an honest, independent view of your cyber security, let’s talk.
